Babeth, whose real name is Elisabeth Pesé, is a Marseille-based illustrator born in 1995, graduated from ENS AAMA Olivier de Serres. Passionate about drawing and creation since adolescence, she began in 2003 as an illustrator of children's books. She moved to Marseille in 2006, a city she fell in love with and which deeply inspires her artistic work. From 2017 onwards, she works as a freelancer, creating postcards, posters, and projects for various companies.
Her poetic style celebrates the singularity of curves and the essence of Mediterranean landscapes, combining clean lines and bold colors. She favors conveying a feeling, emotion, or sensation rather than photographic reproduction, thus giving a poetic vision of places. Since 2017, Babeth has been part of the Les Bonnes Mères collective, a shared workspace in the Endoume district of Marseille bringing together artists and creators. Her creations regularly appear at Undartground, featuring iconic screen-printed designs
