eBoy is a collective of three German artists founded in 1997 by Kai Vermehr, Steffen Sauerteig, and Svend Smital, considered the "Godfathers of Pixel Art". Undisputed pioneers of isometric pixel art, they create complex and fascinating graphic universes where every detail tells a story, blending pop culture, urban architecture, robots, cars, and humorous characters in 3D pixelated perspective. Their emblematic "Pixorama" series offers iconic cartographic visions of major cities worldwide — New York, Paris, Tokyo, Rio, Berlin, London, Venice — transforming each metropolis into a colorful and playful pop universe filled with surprises.
For Marseille, eBoy created "Marseille V2.013," a visionary pixelated representation of the Phocaean city incorporating its iconic landmarks (Notre-Dame de la Garde, Longchamp Palace, La Major) and future architectural projects (Mucem, Silo, Zaha Hadid Tower). Their creations have captivated the world's greatest brands such as Coca-Cola, MTV, Honda, and Adidas, while maintaining unparalleled artistic authenticity. Undartground Marseille is the last shop in France selling original works from the eBoy collective, offering collectors and urban art enthusiasts the chance to acquire posters from this living legend of pixel art.
